Racial Oppression and Health: A biopsychosocial model

In this chapter, Drs. White-Davis and Kotay, uses the commonly used approach in healthcare, the biopsychosocial model to describe how racial oppression affects all aspects of being. They use the example of highly publicized case of Eric Garner to describe how racism in America played contributed to biological, psychological, and social vulnerabilities that led to his untimely death.
